Terms

Last updated 2026-10-14. Plain English, because it's a game.

What this is. WORM is a free browser game and a deterministic simulation. It isn't a financial product, a security, an investment or a wager. Nothing you do on this site can win or lose money.

No money moves here. The site takes no payments and holds no funds. In the live season your wallet signs plain-text messages that commit to a move; those signatures transfer nothing and approve nothing. If anything on a page claiming to be WORM asks you to send funds or approve a token, it isn't us.

No token today. No $WORM token exists. If one is launched, its facts will be published on this site first, and the principles on the homepage apply: no bets on a side, no dividends, no yield, no play-to-earn, and war-chest tokens are burned. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell anything or a promise of value.

Fair play. Don't try to break the live server, flood it, or sign moves for wallets you don't control. The rules are enforced by the commit-and-reveal protocol and by everyone's browser replaying the season. We may reset a season if the server was attacked or a bug changed results, and we'll say so in the audit log.

Your moves are public. Once revealed, your move, your address and your results are published so everyone can check the season. Sealed hashes and signatures are published too.

Provided as is. The game and its code are provided without warranty, under the MIT licence. Seasons, rules and features may change; changes to the rules are recorded in AUDIT-LOG.md with the reason.

Not affiliated. The premise comes from published research on self-replicating AI models. WORM is independent and isn't endorsed by that research or its authors.

Not advice. Nothing here is financial, legal or security advice.
